About Us
We equip organizations, coalitions, and communities with the tools to turn evidence into advocacy and strategy into change—setting a new standard for equity in policy and practice.
Our Mission
At the Egeria Center, our mission is to ensure that equity and evidence remain at the forefront of decision-making. We believe that rigorous research should not sit on a shelf—it should drive advocacy, shape strategy, and strengthen campaigns.
The onus is on us to make sure equity and evidence are not lost
We founded Egeria in 2021 to respond to a critical moment in history. Science-based decision-making is being sidelined, and justice initiatives face active resistance. The onus is on us to take the initiative—to build equity into everything we do and ensure that today’s decisions are rooted in evidence, fairness, and community voice.
Our Story
We are living in a tumultuous era—one marked by disinformation, eroded trust, and the rolling back of DEI commitments. These trends threaten both justice and progress. The Egeria Center was created to bridge the gap between research and practice, ensuring that equity and evidence are not only preserved but advanced. We believe that when justice and evidence move together, change is lasting and transformative.
Our Guiding Principles
We hold ourselves accountable to principles that reflect both what we believe and what the times demand:
Equity
Centering justice in every project
Demystification
Making complex insights clear and actionable
Practicality
Delivering solutions that create immediate and lasting change
Transparency
Building trust through open,rigorous methods
Engagement
Partnering deeply with clients and communities
Impact
Measuring success through transformation, not just compliance

Our Name… Inspired by Egeria
The Egeria Center takes its name from Egeria, a figure from Roman mythology celebrated as the trusted advisor to King Numa Pompilius. A guardian of sacred springs, she embodied wisdom, foresight, and the power to translate vision into enduring civic structures.
Like our namesake, we provide clarity in complexity and strategies that stand the test of time. For us, Egeria’s spring symbolizes renewal and flow—the transformative power of insight to refresh ideas, restore direction, and create momentum for change
About our Founder

She partners with organizations and coalitions to turn evidence into advocacy, strategy, and measurable impact. Known for her expertise in framing and narrative strategy, Amelia integrates this skill with equity-centered evaluation and policy analysis to help clients compete for resources, refine their messaging, and achieve meaningful change.
A passionate advocate for justice, Amelia is committed to ensuring that both evidence and community voice guide decision-making in an era when both are often marginalized. Her work spans environmental policy, health and well-being, education, and organizational change, always grounded in the pursuit of equity. She also mentors the next generation of policy leaders, carrying forward a vision of research and practice that is rigorous, accessible, and transformative.
